Which 1-star hotel would you recommend to a friend and why?
Downtown Forest Hostel & Camping – This place is known locally as a forest, because greenery and trees are all around this not-so-fancy yet cosy chateau, as we call it. There is plenty of peace and nature all around here. And the location is very much downtown, being located in the bohemian, artistic part of Vilnius old town called Užupis. Everything is within a short walking distance.
How about a 2-star hotel – which would you recommend and why?
City Hotels Rūdninkai – This is a cosy and hospitable hotel not far from Vilnius Town Hall. It is situated in a historic location and is merged with the only part of the old defensive wall of Vilnius that remains to this day. The hotel’s back garden is encircled by the old fortification.
Renovated in 2014, City Hotels Rūdninkai has modern new interiors with a natural colour scheme and motif. It has excellent views of the Old Town and a variety of excellent shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
And a 3-star hotel – which would you recommend, and why?
Comfort Hotel LT: Rock´n´Roll Vilnius – It is a theme hotel with a cool rock-and-roll design and large spacious rooms. It has friendly staff, a free 24/7 gym for customers, free WIFI, and free tea and coffee at reception all day. The hotel is situated just 10 minutes’ walk from Vilnius Old Town
Which 4-star hotel would you recommend, and why?
Shakespeare Boutique Hotel – This is situated in a cosy narrow red-roofed street meandering to the nicest places and corners of Vilnius’ historic Old Town. All rooms in the hotel have a unique style, and each is designed with reference to the eighteenth-century spirit of the building. Room décor and design elements are based largely around the theme of authors.
Finally, which 5-star hotel would you recommend to a friend and why?
Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square – It is situated in a perfect location in the very heart of the culturally and architecturally rich Vilnius Old Town. The hotel has a fine collection of 96 luxurious rooms and suites, each with its own individuality and character. You can sample exclusive local cuisine at the stylish on-site Restaurant Telegrafas, and relax in Le Salon Bar and Lounge, which is styled around fin-de-siècle Europe.
